Hi all I hold a BCom Law and LLB degree whilst in the process of completing my LLM. I recently completed my Articles of Clerkship on 7 December 2021 and am awaiting admission. I take on freelance and remote legal and business-related work in order to complete my academic aspirations this year. I have worked at a number of law firms prior to commencing my Articles. I am grateful to have been exposed to a broad range of practice areas over the past 5 years, and aspire to qualify further in due course. In 2019 I ran a research consultancy extending services to law firms, universities, companies, research institutes and the like which was primarily centred around legal research. I worked as a court transcriber and translator for a few years since I was a student, and continued to offer these services through my consultancy. My most rewarding contract was with Amazon where I worked as a Quality Assessor of transcribed scripts which were to be fed into an AI bot. I was also able to travel abroad on 2 occasions on work contracts, and was selected to represent South Africa at the United Nations (New York, USA), UNESCO (Paris, France), GAAP Conference (Miami, USA), as well as at local conferences.
